Here is a preview of  some of the items in this week’s New Life Notations. If you want to receive them via our weekly email list, please contact the church office.

I have been in touch with Pastor Amos and Rosa. Remember to pray for them and their family. Their daughter Betsy is expecting their first grandchild. In addition, they ask for prayer for Pastor Amos, who is struggling with circulation issues. Also pray for the church, Primera Iglesia Bautista. They also have invited us to send a mission team next summer.    Pastor Pat

Bread is available in the gym each Sunday to any who may need it.  Today, the gym will be open before church if you want to stop on the way to Pastors’, and open after worship until 1:00 pm.

Facilities Updates
Work on the parking lot has progressed quickly, and the west lot is paved and ready! Tile work and plumbing updates continue on the west bathroom as well.  Donation envelopes are available if you would like to give towards the 15,000 in designated funds that we are seeking to raise.  (The majority of the renovation costs are covered by the church’s General Fund.) To give towards the project, use an envelope or write “Facility Renovation” on the memo line of your check made out to New Life Church.  Thank you for your support!  Envelopes can be found at the coffee table.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Sunday – Thursday, August 13 - 17
Invite your friends and family to “Operation Arctic”!
Please register your children this week by calling the church office at 507-824-3019. You can also sign up to be a helper.  Several additional helpers are needed! Areas where we need you include crafts, games, snacks, and listening to memory verses.  Plus - all are invited to join us on that Thursday evening for a picnic supper!  We look forward to you and your family being a part of our Vacation Bible School this summer!

Thank you for your help in meeting our goal of $300 for the special Sunday School offering this summer.  You have made it possible for two Thai children to go to a Christian school! As we hope to help others in similar situations, we will continue with the Sunday School offering this summer and will ask our missionaries where it can best be used to increase a knowledge of God among the nations!

We will have a parent-child dedication during morning worship on Sunday, August 6th.  This is a way of expressing your intention to raise your children in the ways of the Lord, and of praying for the Lord’s hand to be upon their lives. If you are interested in participating, please speak with Pastor Pat.

Ladies – Mark your calendars for Thursday evening, August 10th.  Join us at Nicole Holmes’ home at 7:00 pm for a dessert and coffee time with Linda S.  Watch for more details next week.
