This Week’s Sermon: Great Questions – Mark 14:37
“Could You Not Keep Watch for One Hour?”

(Please see notes below about viewing our worship online.)

March
Scripture Memory Verse
Isaiah 41:10

All scheduled onsite activities and offsite gatherings of the church have been suspended until further notice, in accordance with the Governor’s Stay at Home order. We will not be gathering at the church facility for Sunday school or worship and small groups, Bibles studies, Kids-4-Truth, youth group, etc. will not be held.

We invite you to join us for online worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m.
Here’s where to find us!
Go to the church website, www.JesusIsNewLife.org, at 10:00 a.m. and click anywhere in the blue box on the home page. Each service will include music, prayer, elder comments, and a message from Pastor Pat. If you need to access the video directly, it is on YouTube.com and can be accessed by searching for “New Life Church Wanamingo March 29 2020.” While viewing, you can click on the Closed Captioning button [CC] on the bottom right of the video screen to see the song lyrics and transcripts of the elder chat and sermon. Please feel free to pass the link for the worship service on to others.

Peter Shea also has The Refuge youth group lessons available on YouTube. You can access those by going to the events page of the church website.

Even though we won’t be together in one location, it will be an encouragement to know that we are all worshipping at the regular time throughout our communities.

In the meantime, we all need to look to Jesus and trust his care for us. Please continue to check the website and to watch for emails regarding any further changes or updates. Please call or text an elder or pastor as needs arise. We want to help those who are struggling spiritually, physically, emotionally or financially, so please call us. We are eager to assist, and others have also volunteered to step up in meeting needs. Ways we might be able to help include getting groceries for those who are quarantined, picking up meds, providing financial help for those who are laid off from work, spending time in conversation with those who are home alone, etc. We will get through this together with the Lord’s help.

The mission trip to Antigua, Guatemala that had been scheduled for this coming May has been postponed. The team still plans to go to Guatemala to serve with Filter of Hope, but due to the ongoing COVID-19 recommendations & restrictions, the trip will take place sometime later this year.

If you would like to support the team financially, please contact Peter & Dawn (507-722-2996) or Ben (507-319-8280) for details about how to donate through Filter of Hope, or you can give through the church by making your check out to New Life Church and putting “Short Term Mission” on the memo line.

Prayer Notes
PRAISE GOD that we have a loving, heavenly Father who knows our every need! Pray through Matthew 6 – seeking God’s loving heart as you entrust your worries to Him, knowing that He cares for YOU!

In regards to the COVID-19 outbreak, please pray:
• For an end to the spread of the virus. Ask God for His healing mercy for all those affected.
• Pray for those who continue to go to work during this time – for their protection and for their witness of God’s faithfulness.
• For those that are working from home, pray for their diligence and that they not be easily distracted and can continue to be witnesses to their coworkers.
• For those who have been laid off, pray for a quick return to their jobs or for other opportunities to arise
• For government leaders and all those making decisions related to public health and safety.
• For the spread of the gospel! Pray that God’s people would be ready to meet the world with the comfort and hope that only the good news of Jesus Christ can offer!
• That God would calm fears and that His people would be reminded we have a different identity—one of boldness, not of fear. Pray that the church would be a calming presence and radiant light in the face of so much confusion and darkness.
• For those working in health care or essential services – that the Father would give them strength & resilience and that through their work many will be restored to health. Pray they see God at work in these stressful, difficult settings!
