Here is a preview of  some of the items in this week’s New Life Notations. If you want to receive them via our weekly email list, please contact the church office.

We are taking first steps toward being able to gather again and to hold regular onsite and offsite activities. Please continue to watch for updates in these Notations as well as on the church website. Even as we move to worship in the parking lot and then in our building, we hope to continue to provide the online worship service, which can be accessed through the link on the church website. (Please see notes below about viewing our worship online.)

See you there!! (from a social distance!)

This Week’s Sermon: Turning Houses into Homes
“Marriage: Miracle or Misery?”

Worship Music this Week
“Only You”
“Blessed Assurance”
“One Thing Remains”
“Even So Come”
“The Same Love”

The elders are happy to announce that this Memorial Day Sunday, May 24, we will be holding our worship service in the west church parking lot at 10:00 a.m. It will be good to be together, even as we seek to comply with social distancing guidelines. Parking attendants will direct you to park at a distance from other vehicles. Come early, as it will take some time to get everyone parked. If you get out of your car, please maintain social distancing of at least 6’from other households. (Parents, please be sure your children are complying.) No nursery or childcare will be available. You may either stay in your car for worship, or sit alongside your car on a lawn chair (bring your own). No shade will be available, so if you plan to sit outside, please bring hats, sunscreen, etc.
In addition to using the portable sound system, we hope to broadcast the audio to your car’s AM radio. Restroom facilities will be available, but we request you use them only if necessary, as door handles and faucet knobs, etc., will need to be sanitized after each use. Until we can meet in the building again, no offering will be taken, so please continue to mail your donations to the church office. Also, no paper Notations will be distributed, so please continue to read your email version. Those who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 and those who are not feeling well should stay at home. We plan to livestream the service and put a sermon recording on the website, so if you are unable to be here, you can worship with us that way.
This is a new undertaking for us, so we appreciate your participation and patience! We are asking the Lord for suitable weather for Sunday morning and that the AM radio equipment will arrive and that the livestream is dependable. If the weather is a bit inclement, we will go ahead with the outdoor service, with those leading the service under a small tent, and everyone else encouraged to stay in your cars. If the weather is too bad to be outside, we will livestream and broadcast from inside the church building and you are welcome to stay in your car and watch the livestream on your device or listen on your radio (or of course, to watch the service on YouTube at home). If the weather seems questionable on Sunday morning, we will email details to everyone on the Notations list by 9:00 a.m. and also put updates on the church website. But we are hoping for good weather for Sunday morning!

Scripture Memory Verse
Lamentations 3:21-24

If you are unable to join us Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., you may watch the livestream of the service. It will also be available on YouTube later.
Here’s where to find us!

Go to the church website,, and click anywhere in the blue box on the home page for a link to the livestream on YouTube. Or you can enter “New Life Church Wanamingo” in the YouTube search box to reach the church’s YouTube channel, and select the livestream from there. Since we are livestreaming, the Closed Captions may not be useful for the song lyrics, but the words will be included on the video. Please feel free to pass the link for the worship service on to others.

As the pandemic issues continue, please don’t hesitate to call or text an elder or pastor as needs arise. We want to help those who are struggling spiritually, physically, emotionally or financially, so please call us. We are eager to assist, and others have also volunteered to step up in meeting needs. We will get through this together with the Lord’s help.

New Life Church continues to be dependent on your regular giving. We are continuing to provide monthly support for our missionaries, as well as staff salaries and regular facility expenses. We also are seeking to help the people of our church family with financial needs that develop. Although some of us may not be able to continue our regular level of giving, others of us might be able to help make up the difference. You can mail a check to New Life Church, P.O. Box 129, Wanamingo MN 55983.

Graduate Recognition Sunday will be next Sunday, May 31st. Congratulations to our high school and college grads, especially in this strange year of online school and cancelled ceremonies!
